Unlike any other race, the Genghis Khan World Derby fuses sport, adventure, and culture:

• 🌾 Endurance & Navigation – Riders cover 40–100 km per stage, using only maps, compasses, and instinct to find their way.
• 🐎 Horse Welfare First – Horses are exchanged at traditional relay stations (örtoos) and monitored by vets. Welfare points are as crucial as speed.
• 🏹 Daily Survival & Cultural Challenges – Competitors must:
  • Milk a mare & prepare airag (fermented horse milk)
  • Shoot arrows from horseback
  • Cook meals over open fires with nomadic herders
  • Catch, saddle, and ride semi-wild horses
  • Sleep in gers or camp beneath the stars, like true nomads

Here, the toughest riders are not only fastest on the field but also masters of horsemanship and tradition.

🕒 Race Format (10 Days: July 10–20, 2026)

• Arrival & Training – Orientation, safety, vet checks, cultural immersion
• Five Racing Stages – Diverse terrain: plains, rivers, mountains, steppe, long-distance rides
• Final Stage & Awards – Sprint finish, cultural games, closing gala during the World Horse Day Festival
